Did you know?... A clam shell is a bivalve shell.
A clam shell is the skeleton of a bivalve mollusk. When the clam is
living, the clam shell has two parts which are hinged. Clams live in salt
and fresh water. Clam shells wash up on beaches as well as along rivers,
streams and lakes.
