A Kumquat is a small citrus fruit that looks
similar to a very tiny orange. Kumquats grow on small trees or in shrubs.
Kumquats are native to China. They have been cultivated in Japan and in
Southeast Asia for years. The inside of a kumquat is sour and acidic, but the
rind is sweet and edible. In the United States most kumquats are grown in the
states of Florida and California.
