Indiana Farm Country
Indiana is The Hoosier State. Indiana has been
called by this nickname since the early1800's. In 2003 the Federal Government
changed the nickname of the people from Indianans to Hoosiers. The
Hoosiers excel in college football (The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame) and
college basketball (The Hoosiers of The University of Indiana).
Also of note is the Indy 500. It is the world's largest one-day spectator sporting event.
