connected via the Mackinaw Suspension Bridge. The capital of Michigan is Lansing.
The biggest city is Detroit. Detroit has been called the Car Capital of
the World. Its nickname is The Motor City.

The Mackinac Bridge, known as
Big Mac or Mightly Mac, is a suspension bridge connecting the upper and lower
peninsulas of the state of Michigan. The bridge opened in 1957. The bridge is
3,800 feet long. The bridge connects the city of St. Ignace on the north end
with the village of Mackinaw City on the south end.
