When most people think of New York they think of New York City.
NYC is known for skyscrapers, theaters, billboards, subways, and millions of
people. NYC is also the financial capitol of the US. New York State
is called The Empire State, and is rich in natural resources. Lead,
talc, zinc and garnets are found in the northern part of the state. The
state is the leading producer of fruits and vegetables for
the eastern part of the US. Water is abundant is the state, and Niagara
Falls is known not only for its beauty but for the hydroelectric power that it
produces. Albany is the capital of New York.

Niagara Falls is located on the border of the
State of New York and Ontario, Canada. It is one of the seven wonders of
the world. The three falls at Niagara are The Horseshoe Falls, The American
Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. Horseshoe Falls is the largest of the waterfalls.
The Falls drop more than 165 feet. More than sixteen million cubic feet of water
drop every minute. Niagara Falls produces a lot of hydroelectric power,
but that is overlooked by most people when viewing its spectacular beauty.
